Cybersecurity Month & CSWL Highlights
October kicked off with powerful momentum as the European Cybersecurity Month (ECSM) and the Cybersecurity Week Luxembourg (CSWL) launched exciting initiatives across Europe and the Grand Duchy.
European Cybersecurity Month (ECSM)
Coordinated by ENISA and the European Commission, ECSM is the EU’s annual campaign to promote cybersecurity, online safety, and digital hygiene. Throughout October, hundreds of events raise awareness and encourage best practices in cybersecurity across Europe.
Cybersecurity Week Luxembourg (CSWL) – A Month of Impact
In Luxembourg, the month began with the Luxembourg Open Source Conference, which gathered over 270 participants — a strong signal of the country’s growing commitment to open innovation.
At this occasion, the Luxembourg Cybersecurity Factory was launched, an essential project to foster open and trusted cyber commons.
3 October 2025, a symbolic day for the nation
On Trounwiessel Day, the Luxembourg House of Cybersecurity welcomed two international delegations: the Guardia di Finanza from Italy and the Quebec Delegation led by IMC2. The two recent visits from international delegations highlight Luxembourg’s growing importance on the global cybersecurity stage and underscore the potential for meaningful collaborations, particularly in the field of training and capacity building.
As a reminder, the Grand Duke inaugurated the LHC’s new premises in 2022 – a lasting connection between the monarchy and Luxembourg’s cybersecurity ecosystem.
Kick off of the RE.M.I Initiative
This momentum drives us into deep discussions on the AI Regulatory Landscape, the role of MeluXina-AI, testing frameworks, and priority areas for our new AI Community of Practices as well as the data-cybersecurity-AI continuum, with existing and future assets via the Luxembourg Cybersecurity Factory.
ECSC 2025 – Team Luxembourg Takes the Challenge!
Team Luxembourg, trained by LetzPwn and supported by the FNR and the André Losch Foundation, is competing in the European Cyber Security Challenge (ECSC 2025).
Facing 38 other teams, our young talents are showcasing their skills in both Jeopardy-style and Attack/Defense CTF challenges.
Their journey doesn’t end in the arena – LetzPwn will be honoured during the CSWL Gala Night, receiving a trophy in recognition of their dedication to excellence and youth empowerment in the field of cybersecurity.
And this is just the beginning.
Stay tuned for the upcoming events throughout October!
